REMINDERS / NOTES
Table confirmations are mailed out 15 days prior to
the show.
Guest Passes - We always recemmend that you mail in your
guest pass registration forms to the Business Office. However,
members can also fill one out at the meeting. Remember that both
the sponsor and the guest have to sign them. If not signed, we
will either send them back for signatures or hold them for you
to sign in person (depending on how close we are to the show).
Avoid this delay by remembering to sign them. Advance Guest
Passes—are those that have been received by the
business office less than 2 weeks prior to the meeting and are
processed and held for pick up at the Information Desk.
(Do not go to the Guest Pass Desk if you mailed them in.)
Badges - Remember also that everyone who comes to the
meeting has to have a badge no matter how young or old they are.
Spouses and children receive free badges at the time of the member’s
renewal each year once they register in person. If your family
members don’t have badges, go with them to the Family Services
table. They must be with you.
Tableholders: Remember to sign the back of your table
application. Avoid delay and disappointment! Also, remember—don’t
rent tables unless you can maintain them for the scheduled meeting
hours.
Applications for membership—may be returned only
at the show. Applicants need two members to sponsor them. One
of the sponsors has to accompany them to the application desk,
but both have to sign.
To avoid the last minute rush before the meeting, please
get all items in early this includes: dues, guest passes and
table applications. The sooner you get these items in, the sooner
the office can get them back to you.
Please note that Walkie-Talkies
are not permitted at meetings due to the interference with our
security system. We regret the inconvenience.
Michigan Junior Pistol Team Requests Your Help
in Recovering Stolen Equipment
The Ottawa (MI) Sportsmen's Club Junior
Pistol Team were on their way back home to the Upper Peninsula
of Michigan after spending a week at the National Pistol Matches
at Camp Perry, Ohio. After staying overnight at the Comfort Inn
in Ann Arbor (actually Pittsfield, MI) coach Ron Granroth awoke
and stepped outside to discover that his VAN WAS GONE!!! In the
van was nearly all of thier equipment for our stay at Camp Perry,
INCLUDING their guns!! YES, THE CAR WAS LOCKED and PARKED IN
FRONT OF THE HOTEL!!
To make a long story short, the police
apprehended 3 suspects in his van later in the day, but of course
the guns were gone (and replaced by crack cocaine). In addition
to the team guns and equipment, he was delivering 11 guns to
"The Northwoods Trading Post" in Hancock Michigan including
2 new Springfield Trophy Match pistols and a Springfield XD that
I had purchased for the team.
The next page is a list of all of the
guns that were stolen and their descriptions and serial numbers.

were purchased by the coach for the team, but are still invoiced
to Northwoods.
